Welcome to 3rd Grade!
I am excited to welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year! I am looking forward to having your child as a student. Third grade is a busy year where we learn lots of new things. In order to have a fun year it is important for us to get to know each other and create a classroom of learners. Parents, I can't wait to partner with you in your child's learning. My hope and dream is that your child will develop a lifelong love of learning.
About me
Hello! I am Chrissy Nelson and I have been a teacher for 20 years. The majority of my teaching experience has been in early childhood and teaching K-5 reading and math interventions. I live in Cannon Falls with my husband Joel and our two boys Isaac, who is 15, and Micah, who is 12. We also have a cat named Raven and two lizards, Percy and Maple.
I attended Northland College and the College of St. Catherine. I have a Bachelor of science degree in Environmental Studies and a Master of Arts Degree in Education. I love to read, spend time with family and friends and go on long walks.
